The London Borough of Croydon is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. As a member of the MASH Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting initial assessments and determining the level of risk for children and families.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to gather information and ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in conjunction with families and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training to continuously improve practice.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly within a MASH or safeguarding context.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration.
