The London Borough of Croydon is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Safeguarding Team. Key responsibilities and duties include:

Conducting assessments of children's needs and risks to develop effective intervention plans. Working collaboratively with families, schools, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support. Managing a caseload of children and families, providing ongoing support and monitoring progress. Preparing and presenting reports for court proceedings and child protection conferences. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding policies and practices.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a safeguarding context. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
