Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Team Manager to join Oxfordshire Children's Services.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the leadership of a frontline team, ensuring children and families receive timely assessments, effective safeguarding interventions, and high-quality support.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide line management and support to Social Workers and Children's Practitioners.Support the Team Manager with service development and performance.Oversee safeguarding practice, child protection planning, and legal casework.Promote Oxfordshire's Family Safeguarding Plus model and group supervision approach.Ensure children's plans progress effectively and within statutory timescales.Maintain high standards of practice and compliance with policies and procedures.About YouSocial Work England registered Social Worker.Strong experience within Children's Social Care and safeguarding services.Sound knowledge of child protection, court work, and statutory processes.Experience supporting, supervising, or leading practitioners.Knowledge of the Family Safeguarding Model and Motivational Interviewing is desirable.Able to build effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies.What's on Offer?Hybrid working (3 office days per week)Supportive management teamOpportunity to develop and lead practitionersMileage expenses claimable for business travel in line with council policy
