We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team in Croydon. As a Senior Social Worker in the MASH team, you will be responsible for the assessment and management of safeguarding concerns, ensuring that children and families receive the support they need. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of risk and need for children and families.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to gather information and provide comprehensive support.
  • Developing and implementing intervention plans that prioritize the welfare of children.
  • Providing supervision and support to junior staff and social work students.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance related to social work practice.
