Social Worker - LAC - Bury
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) team in Bury. This role is vital in supporting vulnerable children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development within a nurturing environment. As a Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to provide comprehensive support and intervention to children in care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the needs of each child.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and foster carers to promote stability and emotional well-being.
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring adherence to statutory guidelines.
- Providing guidance and support to foster families to enhance the care experience for children.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in child protection and working with looked after children.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to teamwork.
