Caritas Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Haverhill Social Care Team.

This is a fast-paced frontline role working with children and families across a range of statutory services, including Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children, Child Assessment, and Support & Prevention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake assessments for children aged 0-17
  • Manage Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) plans
  • Hold and progress complex caseloads
  • Work directly with children, families and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
  • Contribute to a busy assessment service and provide support throughout the child's journey

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Previous experience within an Assessment Team is essential
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Child in Need
    • Child Protection
    • Looked After Children
    • Assessments
    • Support & Prevention
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
