Achieving for Children is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Team Leader for our Safeguarding Team. In this role, you will lead a team of qualified social workers, ensuring the highest standards of care and protection for vulnerable children. You will play a crucial part in developing effective strategies and interventions that support children and families, while promoting their well-being and safety.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing a team of social workers, providing supervision, support, and guidance.
  • Overseeing the assessment and intervention processes for children and families in need of safeguarding support.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of services through effective monitoring and evaluation.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
