We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's TM - Assessment & Safeguarding Team in Darlington. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, ensuring their safety and wellbeing, and implementing effective safeguarding measures. Your expertise will contribute to creating a supportive environment for vulnerable children, enabling them to thrive.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs.
  • Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely case records and documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access relevant resources and services.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
