We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Southampton, focusing on safeguarding and family support. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the level of risk and need for intervention. Developing and implementing care plans to support families and protect children from harm. Working collaboratively with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and law enforcement, to provide comprehensive support. Participating in case conferences and court proceedings to advocate for the best interests of the children. Providing crisis intervention and support to families in challenging situations.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in safeguarding and working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong assessment and decision-making skills to evaluate complex situations and determine appropriate interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work independently and manage a demanding caseload while prioritizing tasks effectively.Additional requirements or benefits:
