We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team in Southend-on-Sea. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals committed to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and families. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to ensure the well-being and safety of children in care, supporting them to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing effective care plans for children and young people in care.
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and other professionals to promote the best outcomes.
  • Managing a caseload of children and young people, providing ongoing support and intervention.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding processes.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with statutory requirements and agency policies.

Essential qualifications and skills include:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly those in care.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
