We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Assessment Team in Coventry. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of adults in need of support, ensuring they receive the appropriate services tailored to their individual circumstances. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being and safety of vulnerable adults, making a significant impact in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of clients’ needs and risks, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Developing and implementing person-centered care plans in collaboration with clients and their families. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate effective service delivery. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in line with organizational policies. Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members and participating in training initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in adult social work, particularly in assessment and care planning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse client groups. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.

Caritas Recruitment is working with Cafcass to recruit experienced Family Court Advisers (FCA) to support both public and private law work across Coventry, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity for resilient, court‑experienced practitioners to work with highly vulnerable children and families within a well‑established national organisation.
Key ResponsibilitiesWork directly with children and families involved in public and private law proceedingsUndertake safeguarding assessments and provide robust analysis to inform decision‑makingPrepare high‑quality reports, including Section 7 and discharge of care reportsEngage children in a child‑centred and creative mannerProvide clear written and oral evidence within the Family CourtLiaise confidently with partner agencies, legal professionals and the JudiciaryManage a complex caseload, working effectively and proportionately at paceEssential RequirementsSocial Work qualification and SWE registrationMinimum 3 years' post‑qualifying experienceProven experience working with highly vulnerable children and familiesStrong safeguarding knowledge and practicePractical, first‑hand experience of the Family Court system, including giving oral evidenceExcellent case analysis, planning and recording skillsConfident and competent IT skills, with experience using electronic case management systemsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHighly organised, resilient and able to demonstrate good self‑careFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel across a large geographical area required)Desirable ExperienceChild‑centred practice with creative engagement techniquesExperience in both public and/or private lawAbility to work remotely with a strong sense of accountabilityForward planning and effective workload prioritisationConfident negotiating with other agencies and professionalsExperience attending hearings some distance from baseConfident providing oral evidence without legal representation
