We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Children's SP - Help & Protection Team in Coventry. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing support and protection to vulnerable children and families in need.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to provide a coordinated approach to support services. Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to ensure the best outcomes for children in care. Providing emotional support and guidance to children and families during difficult times.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience in working within Children's Services, particularly in child protection and safeguarding. Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop appropriate interventions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals effectively. Ability to work under pressure, manage caseloads efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.Additional requirements and benefits:
