Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and young people.
  • Building trusting relationships with children, families, and external agencies to promote effective communication and support.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Providing advice and advocacy for children and young people to ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of strategies that enhance the welfare of looked after children.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working within a looked after children setting or similar social work environment.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
