The London Borough of Ealing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Families First/Initial Support Team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality support and services to children and families in our community. You will work collaboratively with families, multi-agency partners, and colleagues to ensure the safety and well-being of children, while promoting positive outcomes for families in need.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing tailored support plans to address identified needs. Engaging with families to build trusting relationships and encourage participation in the support process. Collaborating with various stakeholders, including schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with statutory requirements and local policies. Providing advice and support to families in crisis situations, ensuring their immediate needs are met.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in children's social work, particularly within initial assessment or family support settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse families. Proficient in case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
