Join our dynamic Children's Social Work - Referral & Assessment Team in Lewisham, where your expertise can make a real difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker who is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children. In this role, you will play a vital part in assessing referrals, conducting assessments, and implementing effective interventions to support children and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in accordance with legislation and local policies. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to develop comprehensive care plans. Providing timely and accurate reports to inform decision-making processes. Maintaining detailed case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements. Engaging with children and families to build trust and encourage participation in the assessment process.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current Social Work England registration. Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in referral and assessment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
