We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Blackburn with Darwen, focusing on Adult Safeguarding. As a key member of our Adult Social Care team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable adults and promoting their well-being.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks of adults at risk
  • Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard and support vulnerable adults
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, service users, and their families to ensure the best outcomes
  • Providing advocacy and support to empower individuals to make informed decisions
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory standards

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience in adult safeguarding within a social care setting
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to adult safeguarding
