We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Team in Swindon. As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention services to families in need, with a focus on safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans to address the needs of children and families.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for families involved in the safeguarding process.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to families, offering practical assistance and emotional support as needed.
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and other relevant meetings to advocate for the welfare of children.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker (QSW) registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in working within a safeguarding or child protection setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and professionals.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to safeguarding and child welfare.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage complex cases, and make timely decisions in the best interests of children.
