Join our dedicated Kinship Care Team in Blackburn as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional to provide high-quality social work services, ensuring the safety and well-being of children placed in kinship care arrangements. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in supporting families and promoting positive outcomes for children in need.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting thorough assessments of kinship care placements to ensure they meet the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families, children, and other stakeholders. Providing ongoing support and guidance to kinship carers, including training and resources to enhance their caregiving capabilities. Monitoring and reviewing placements to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practices. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate services and support for families.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current Social Work England registration. Experience in child protection, family support, or kinship care. Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex caseloads.
