The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Assessment Team. In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local and national policies.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and working closely with partner organizations to ensure cohesive support.
- Providing guidance and support to less experienced team members and contributing to their professional development.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in children’s social work, particularly in assessment and safeguarding.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals.
