Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team in Nottingham, where you will play a vital role in improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker to provide high-quality support and intervention for children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and working collaboratively with families and other professionals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans that prioritize the best interests of children in care. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Engaging with children, families, and external agencies to ensure coordinated support. Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and contributing to decision-making processes.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in a statutory setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to partnership working.

Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Nottingham City Council is seeking a skilled Children's Social Worker to join our Children in Care (CIC) and Child Protection (CP) Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive environment, where your expertise will contribute to positive outcomes for vulnerable children and their families.

As a Children's Social Worker in our CIC/CP Team, you will be responsible for a diverse range of duties, including:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Managing a caseload of vulnerable children and ensuring timely interventions and support. Working closely with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote their welfare. The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly in CIC and CP settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. A sound understanding of child safeguarding policies and legislation.
