Children's SW - Corporate Parenting Team - Barking & Dagenham
Join our dedicated Corporate Parenting Team in Barking & Dagenham as a Children’s Social Worker. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments of children and families to identify their needs and strengths.
- Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other stakeholders.
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working within children’s social services, preferably in a corporate parenting context.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with children and families.
