The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Safeguarding & Assessment Team. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and providing ongoing support to children and their families in need of safeguarding intervention.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children's needs and risks, ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families, children, and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in line with local and national policies.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding strategies.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and assessment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.
