We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in Ealing. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families within our community. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a vital role in assessing, supporting, and supervising foster carers, ensuring that children in care receive the best possible support and guidance. This position offers a competitive rate of £39.04 per hour on an Umbrella basis.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of prospective foster carers and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Providing ongoing support to foster families, including regular supervision and training.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual children's needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local authority policies and procedures.
  • Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Significant experience in fostering or children’s services, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
