About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fostering Social Worker to join a well-supported service based in Selby. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable team where manageable caseloads (20-24) allow you to focus on delivering meaningful, high-quality support to foster carers and children.
You will play a key role in the recruitment, assessment and ongoing support of foster carers, ensuring carers are equipped to provide safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, supervise and develop foster carers
  • Complete fostering assessments (Form F) and annual reviews
  • Work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
  • Minimum 3+ years' post-qualified permanent experience (essential to meet DfE regulations)
  • Experience within fostering or children's services
  • Strong assessment and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining quality practice
