As a Social Worker in our Autism/Community Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of individuals with autism.
  • Developing and implementing person-centered care plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
  • Providing ongoing support, guidance, and advocacy to individuals and their families.
  • Working closely with other professionals and community resources to ensure integrated support.
  • Monitoring and reviewing care plans to ensure they remain effective and relevant.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with adults with autism or related disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social work.
