We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s SP - D & A Team in Shropshire. This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and their families, developing tailored support plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services in accordance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention strategies and support plans.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health, education, and voluntary sectors, to promote the welfare of children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they are empowered and informed throughout the process.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working in children’s social services, particularly in assessment and intervention.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
