Wolverhampton City Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Team Manager to join our Adult Social Care team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker looking to take the next step in their career and make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults within our community. You will play a key role in supporting the Team Manager in delivering high-quality social care services while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the management and supervision of social work staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective service delivery. Contributing to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they meet the needs of service users. Conducting assessments and reviews, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to facilitate integrated care and support. Participating in training and development initiatives to enhance team performance and service quality.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience in adult social care, demonstrating knowledge of relevant legislation and policies. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
