Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work team within the Children and Young People’s Directorate (CYPD) in Wiltshire, where your expertise can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and colleagues to provide high-quality support and interventions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children and young people, ensuring timely and appropriate intervention. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding procedures. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them to access services and resources.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
