This role is pivotal in ensuring the welfare and best interests of children involved in family court proceedings, providing expert assessments and recommendations to the court.
As a Family Court Adviser, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families, considering their unique circumstances and needs. Preparing detailed reports and recommendations for the court, ensuring clarity and professionalism. Collaborating with legal professionals, social services, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and support for families. Providing direct support and guidance to families navigating the court process, ensuring they understand their rights and options. Participating in case conferences and court hearings, presenting findings and advocating for the child's best interests.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and family law, with a strong understanding of the court system. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with families and professionals.
