CAFCASS is looking for a Family Court Adviser to join our Public & Private Team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with children and families in a dynamic environment, providing expert advice and support within the family court system. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the best outcomes for children and families involved in legal proceedings.
As a Family Court Adviser, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families involved in public and private law cases. Preparing detailed reports for court that reflect the child’s best interests. Engaging with families, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration. Providing expert advice to the court on matters relating to child welfare and safeguarding. Participating in court hearings and offering evidence as required.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in child protection, family law, or similar fields. Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
