Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work Locality Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families within our community. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively to ensure the safety and well-being of children while promoting positive family dynamics.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing tailored care plans to support children at risk. Working closely with families, schools, and other agencies to provide coordinated support. Maintaining accurate and timely case records in compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions to enhance team performance.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in children's social work, ideally within a locality team. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
