As a Children’s Social Worker within the Family Help Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans to address identified needs.
  • Working collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure holistic support.
  • Providing guidance and support to families to improve parenting skills and family relationships.
  • Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure progress and adapt plans as necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national standards.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England (or equivalent regulatory body).
  • Proven experience in working with children and families in a social work context.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
