As a Senior Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks. Developing and implementing child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Leading and supervising social work staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their practice. Maintaining accurate case records and preparing reports for court proceedings. Engaging with external agencies to ensure a multi-agency approach to safeguarding.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding within a statutory framework. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and colleagues.
