Hull City is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of looked after children.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to children and foster carers.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings to advocate for the best interests of children in care.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with looked after children and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
