Join our dynamic Children's TM - Kinship Assessment Team in Birmingham, where your expertise in qualified social work can make a significant impact on the lives of children and families. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to lead our team in conducting thorough kinship assessments, ensuring the safety and well-being of children placed with relatives or family friends.

As a Team Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

Overseeing the kinship assessment process, ensuring compliance with local and national guidelines. Supervising and supporting a team of social workers, providing guidance and fostering professional development. Collaborating with external agencies, stakeholders, and families to facilitate effective communication and service delivery. Conducting complex assessments and making informed recommendations regarding placements. Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for court proceedings and case reviews.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and kinship care assessments. Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to partnership working.
