Join our dedicated team as a Children's DTM (Designated Team Manager) within the Contact Team in Southwark, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. In this leadership position, you will oversee the assessment and support processes for children in need, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met. You will work collaboratively with social workers, families, and external agencies to facilitate effective communication and service delivery.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing a team of social workers and support staff, providing supervision and guidance to ensure high-quality practice. Conducting regular case reviews and audits to monitor progress and compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks. Developing and implementing service improvement plans based on feedback and performance metrics. Building strong relationships with families, children, and community partners to promote a holistic approach to child welfare. Ensuring that all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant post-qualification experience in children's social work, with a proven track record in a management or supervisory capacity. Strong understanding of child protection legislation, local safeguarding policies, and best practice standards.
