We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Family Safeguarding Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Nottinghamshire. As a key member of our Family Safeguarding service, you will play a crucial role in supporting and protecting vulnerable children and families in the local community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Undertake assessments and develop care plans for children and families in need of support.
  • Provide direct intervention and support to families to promote positive outcomes and prevent family breakdown.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
  • Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of children.
  • Conduct risk assessments and make evidence-based decisions to safeguard children from harm.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social work setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills to identify risks and develop appropriate intervention plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with families and build positive relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload in a fast-paced environment.
