Fostering Supervising Social Worker - Gateshead
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Fostering Supervising Social Worker to join our dynamic team in Gateshead. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting foster carers, ensuring the highest standards of care for children in the fostering system. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations of potential foster carers.
- Providing ongoing supervision and support to foster families, including regular visits and reviews.
- Developing and implementing training programs for foster carers.
- Collaborating with local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure the best interests of children are met.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in fostering or child protection social work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse groups.
