- We are currently looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join a statutory Kinship Team based at North Somerset Council.
- Join a dedicated and supportive statutory Fostering Team
- Full-time position with hybrid working options available.
- Office base: Weston-super-Mare
- You must have a social work qualification and full SWE registration as well as relevant experience to be considered
- The role: Kinship Assessments mainly

North Somerset Council's Fostering Team plays a vital role in providing safe, stable, and nurturing homes for children who cannot live with their birth families. You will be part of a passionate and professional team working together to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people.
To be considered, it is essential that you have a recognised Social Work qualification (Social Work Degree or Diploma in Social Work) and full Social Work England registration as well as recent or significant relevant experience in a similar role.
*Please note this vacancy is subject to the Pledge Agreement which stipulates:-
- 4 weeks' notice period may be required (at discretion of manager/council)
- Agency workers must have complete 2 years post AYSE (3 years PQ total), before they can be considered for agency roles within London
