Join our dedicated Safeguarding Team in Tameside as a Qualified Social Worker specializing in children's services. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, local agencies, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children in need of protection and support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Carrying out statutory duties, including attending court hearings and providing evidence as required.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with local policies and procedures.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent assessment and analytical skills, with a sound understanding of safeguarding legislation.
