In this vital role, you will lead the coordination and facilitation of family group conferences, ensuring that the voices of children and families are at the heart of decision-making processes. You will work collaboratively with social workers, families, and community resources to develop effective support plans that enhance the well-being and safety of children and young people.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Facilitating family group conferences and ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are engaged. Assessing family dynamics and needs to create tailored support plans. Providing training and support to staff and volunteers involved in the family conferencing process. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of family group conferences, implementing improvements as necessary. Building strong relationships with families, children, and community organizations to foster a collaborative environment.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and family support work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse families.
