As a Children's Social Worker in the Safeguarding Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Managing a caseload of children in need, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, promoting positive outcomes for children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognised social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
