The London Borough of Ealing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s Social Worker to join our Families First Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. You will work collaboratively with families, providing support and interventions to promote positive outcomes for children and young people. As a Children’s Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families to develop tailored support plans.
  • Conducting home visits and engaging with families to provide guidance and support.
  • Working alongside multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, educators, and community organizations.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in line with local policies and procedures.
  • Participating in child protection conferences and court proceedings as necessary.

To be considered for this role, you must have the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families in a social work setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
