Join our dynamic Children's Social Work - Help & Protection Team in Sefton, where your passion for making a difference in children's lives can flourish. We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Social Worker who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children in need of protection.
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and professionals. Managing a caseload of children and families in line with statutory requirements. Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive change. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences. Documenting case notes and reports accurately and in a timely manner.To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should possess strong assessment and analytical skills, along with a thorough understanding of child protection legislation and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with children, families, and a range of professionals.
