Wolverhampton City Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families within our vibrant community. As a key member of the MASH Team, you will work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and young people.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support.
  • Collaborating with various agencies to gather information and provide comprehensive safeguarding responses.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans to address the needs of children and families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records while adhering to relevant legislation and policies.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and partner agencies on safeguarding matters.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children's social work, preferably within a MASH or safeguarding environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
