The London Borough of Havering is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Family Support Team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need of support.

  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring their needs are met and progress is monitored.
  • Working closely with schools, health services, and other agencies to coordinate multi-agency support.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in children's social work, particularly in family support or safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
