Are you an experienced social worker looking to make a significant impact in the lives of families? We are seeking a dedicated Families First Advanced Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Ferryhill, Durham. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to lead and support families in need, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and support.

As a Families First Advanced Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive assessments and interventions for families facing complex challenges. Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments and developing tailored support plans. Providing expert guidance and supervision to social work staff and students. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure holistic support for families. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements. Participating in training and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant post-qualification experience in children and family services. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
