The London Borough of Havering is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Social Work - Community/LD Team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of service users.
  • Developing and implementing person-centered care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other professionals.
  • Providing ongoing support, advocacy, and guidance to individuals and their families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and contributing to the development of best practices within the team.

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within adult social care, particularly with individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
