We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's TM - Duty Team in Wigan. This dynamic role requires an individual who is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing cases, conducting assessments, and providing support to families in need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Carrying out initial assessments and safeguarding investigations. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of service improvements. Providing advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders regarding child welfare and protection issues.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in children's social work, particularly in a duty or assessment team setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
