Children's SW - CIN/CP Team - Derbyshire

Join our dedicated Children's Social Work team in Derbyshire, specializing in Children in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) cases. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, other professionals, and community resources to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective intervention plans to support children and families.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including education, health, and law enforcement, to safeguard children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Participating in court proceedings as required and providing evidence-based recommendations.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within a CIN/CP team or similar environment.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
