Join our dedicated team in Manchester as a Children’s Social Worker within the Complex Safeguarding Team, where you will play a crucial role in protecting and supporting vulnerable children and families. In this challenging yet rewarding position, you will work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to assess, plan, and implement safeguarding interventions that ensure the safety and well-being of children at risk.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks. Developing and implementing child protection plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legislation and policy. Providing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services. Participating in meetings, conferences, and court proceedings to advocate for the best interests of children.To be considered for this role, you must possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent) and hold a current Social Work England registration. Additionally, you should have:
Experience in child protection and safeguarding, particularly in complex cases. Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make sound judgments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
